This policy explains PonderKid’s approach to personal data and children’s privacy. PonderKid is designed as an offline-first conversation app for adults who communicate with children.

First-release privacy posture

PonderKid’s intended first-release posture is:

no ads;
no general third-party analytics or tracking outside Adapty for subscription and payment experience;
no user account or child account;
no cloud sync;
no notifications;
no public sharing, comments, chat, or user-generated content;
no camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photo access.

Apart from the in-app “Contact us” email action and the Terms of Use / Privacy Policy pages, the first release does not include external links.

Information stored in the app

PonderKid stores some preferences and activity state on the device. This helps the app resume where it left off, show level-appropriate questions, and suggest starting points based on adult-selected interests.

The app may store:

selected level;
selected interest areas;
selected life-question areas;
onboarding completion state;
unlocked starter content IDs;
saved or spoken content/question IDs;
opened question IDs;
card-deck resume state and filter preferences;
app language preference.

This information does not include a child’s name, birthdate, email address, location, photo, voice recording, or free-text child profile.

Does information leave the device?

Under the first-release posture, this local app state is not sent to a PonderKid server and is not shared with third parties for advertising.

The “Contact us” action opens your device’s email app. If you send us an email, we and our email providers may receive the information you choose to include.

For paid subscriptions, payment, cancellation, restore, subscription management, and refund processes are handled through your App Store or Google Play account and the relevant store rules. PonderKid does not collect payment card details directly.

PonderKid uses Adapty as a subscription infrastructure provider to show subscription products, process purchase and restore flows, verify premium access, and improve the subscription experience. For these purposes, Adapty may process technical data needed for subscription and paywall reporting, such as subscription status, purchase and restore events, store transaction information, app/device-related technical identifiers, IP address, and country information derived from IP address. Apple advertising ID and Google advertising ID collection are disabled in the PonderKid app.

Children’s privacy

PonderKid is not designed as a service where children create accounts or personal profiles on their own. It is not designed as an app for children to use alone.

The app does not ask for a child’s name, contact information, photo, voice, location, or free-text answers.

Retention and deletion

Local app data may remain on the device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

To delete app data, you can:

uninstall the app;
use any available in-app reset tools;
contact us at ponderkidapp@sistemikdonusum.com.

If you email us, your message may remain in our email records. You can contact us to request access or deletion.

Health, psychology, and safety note

PonderKid does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, or crisis support. Its content and questions are designed to support adult-child conversation.

If a question makes a child uncomfortable, you can stop the conversation, change the topic, or skip the question. For persistent or serious distress, trauma, self-harm concern, suspected abuse, or any urgent safety concern, seek help from a qualified professional or the appropriate emergency support service.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. For important changes, we aim to provide reasonable notice in the app and/or on PonderKid’s official web page.
