These terms govern your use of the PonderKid app. By using PonderKid, you agree to these terms.

What is PonderKid?

PonderKid is a conversation and thinking tool designed for adults who communicate with children. The app offers preparation, question suggestions, and short adult guidance for conversations with children ages 5-11.

PonderKid is not a medical, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, or crisis support service.

Adult guidance

PonderKid is not designed as an app for children to use alone. It is designed for adults who communicate with children.

The adult using the app should:

choose questions that fit the child’s age, level, and sensitivities;
stop, change the topic, or skip a question if the child becomes uncomfortable;
seek qualified professional or emergency support for serious or persistent distress, trauma, self-harm concerns, suspected abuse, or urgent safety concerns.

Purpose of the content

PonderKid content is designed to start conversations and make shared thinking easier. The content:

does not guarantee specific outcomes or development;
does not replace professional evaluation of a child’s thinking, emotions, or behavior;
does not promise the same effect for every family or child.

Use limits

You may not use the app:

for unlawful purposes;
in a way that violates another person’s rights;
in a way that disrupts the security or operation of the app;
to copy and republish content without permission.

Intellectual property

The text, design, images, software, and arrangement of PonderKid belong to PonderKid or the relevant rights holders. You may use the app for your own use and to support communication with children. You may not reproduce, republish, or use the content commercially or as part of another product without permission.

Subscriptions and purchases

Without a subscription, PonderKid provides access to a limited number of free starter contents. Other content and premium features require a paid subscription.

Purchases and subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play. The subscription plan, price, billing period, trial, renewal, and cancellation information are shown on the purchase screen and in your store account.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the selected subscription period unless canceled. Cancellation, management, restore, and refund requests are handled through the relevant App Store or Google Play account and store rules.

PonderKid does not directly collect payment card details.

Limitation of liability

PonderKid is prepared with reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of content will be suitable for every child or family. Questions should be used with adult guidance and with attention to the child’s needs.

The adult using the app is responsible for deciding whether content is suitable for the child and for guiding the conversation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for indirect, special, or unexpected losses arising from use of the app is limited. This does not remove consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current terms are published in the app and/or on PonderKid’s official web page. For important changes, we aim to provide reasonable notice.
